• Care & Hope Ministry – Care & Hope is a cooperative ministry of community churches that help to meet the needs of “hurting people” in the community. They provide a helping hand to those who are in need. The thrift store provides clothing, household goods and furniture. In addition, food is distributed through their food pantry and is free of charge to persons or families in crisis, those who qualify for public assistance or have a very limited household income. • Keep Morehouse Beautiful – Located inside the Chamber of Commerce, Keep Morehouse Beautiful strives to make the parish a beautiful place through community-wide clean-up days, planting of trees and shrubs, taking care of the ball parks, etc.

 
• Morehouse Humane Society – In existence for over 30 years, the Morehouse Humane Society oversees the operation of the animal shelter. A no-kill shelter, the MHS continues to care for the dogs and cats until a “forever” home can be found. The shelter is located at 6878 Mer Rouge Road; Bastrop.
